Time is running out !!!

 

Only a few Hours remaining to find Kildare’s Best Young Entrepreneur 2018- closing deadline midnight tonight Friday 29th 2017

The Local Enterprise Office Kildare is on the search for Kildare’s Best Young Entrepreneur 2018 who will share in an investment of €50,000 towards the development of their business to the next level.  

The closing date for entries is midnight 29th September 2017.

The competition has 3 categories:

  • Category 1: Best Idea (€7,000 Winner Investment / €3,000 Runner-Up Investment)
  • Category 2: Best Start Up Business (less than 18 months trading) (Winner €15,000 Investment / €5,000 Runner-Up Investment)
  • Category 3: Best Established Business (more than 18 months trading) (Winner €15,000 Investment / Runner Up €5,000)

Please note if you are a previous winner of a category you can’t enter the same category in the competition.   The journey starts once you put your entry in by 29th September 2017 which can be done on www.ibye.ie

Once you have your entry submitted you will be invited to an Enterprise Day which is scheduled for Monday 16th October 2017 with Gavin Duffy from Dragons Den with the Local Enterprise Office Team from Kildare We will select 15 competitors to go forward to the Boot Camp which will be held in Kildare 2nd week end in November 2017 and will be facilitated by the team from The Entrepreneurs Academy who for nearly two decades have trained and supported the start and growth of 1000s of small businesses each year. 

Each competitor will then be provided with one to one mentoring by the Team at The Entrepreneurs Academy to get ready for their pitch to the panel on November 30th 2017. Judging will take place on November 30th 2017 and the judging panel is made up of representatives from Industry, Maynooth University and the Local Enterprise Office. The investment of €50,000 will be awarded by An Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise and Innovation Frances Fitzgerald TD at the “Celebrating Excellence – Presentation & Networking” Event which will be hosted in Kilkea Castle , Castledermot, Co. Kildare, on 1st December 2017.

The winner in each category goes forward to the Regional Finals which will be held in Kildare in Spring 2018. So, that’s the opportunity, your first step is making an entry by mid night tonight 29th September 2017. Entries can be submitted on www.ibye.ie
